PTO Volunteer Positions:
Room Parent Coordinator
Manages Room Parent communication between PTO and home
Room Parents
Acts as the liaison between classroom parents, the teacher, and the PTO
Book Fair Committee
Schedule, organize, and run all aspects of the school book fair during school hours and on Open House nights
MainSpring Committee
Schedule, organize, and run student lunch bag assembly for the homeless shelter in Brockton
School Picture Day Committee
Coordinate with school administration for School Picture Day
Teacher Appreciation Committee
Schedule, organize, and help run teacher appreciation events
School Spirit Committee
In charge of School Spirit for various PTO events, creating and managing Heights merchandise
Heights Garden Committee
Coordinate with school administration to maintain the (exterior) Heights garden seasonally and solicit and manage parent gardening help. This includes buying supplies, planting, watering, and weeding.
The garden provides fresh veggies and fruits that are served in the cafeteria to students
Fundraising and Donations Committee
Assist the PTO board members in sourcing existing and potentially new ways to raise money for the school. Experience with grant writing greatly welcome.
Organize and collect end of the year donations for the specials (Art, Music, Gym, Library)
Assist the PTO board in soliciting and organizing donations for the spring raffle and auction
Time Commitment: Sept.-June or only Jan-Apr and June. Approx. 4hrs per week for the spring raffle and auction remotely, 1hr per week for the end of the year donation drive remotely. Attend PTO mtgs when possible
Ice Cream Social Committee (TBD)
Create the flyer and Sign Up Genius, reserve ice cream vendors, coordinate volunteers and event logistics, help run the event
5th Grade Committee
Coordinates Fifth Grade farewell activities, creates Fifth Grade Yearbook
Educational Programming Committee
Coordinate supplemental educational programs for each grade level
Hedgehogs Give Back Committee
The Heights PTO believes in giving back to the community. Comes up with ideas to give back to the community, plans and executes community events
